Berlinale Talents 2015

Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Screen Arts of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television Alexander Markov was selected to participate in the prestigious workshop of 65th Berlin Film Festival “Berlinale Talents”.

 

"Berlinale Talents"  is a special workshop, which helps young filmmakers to get new oportunnities in film production and promotion. In 2015, 2,700 applications were submitted from 117 countries. 300 young professionals were selected: they are directors, writers, actors, producers, cameramen, editors, sound designers, artists and critics. Working language is English.

Meetings with famous directors such as Darren Aranovskiy and Wim Wenders, legendary composer Howard Shore and production designer Ken Adams were interchanged with consultations of experts about the new cameras Canon. The participants  visited the legendary Studio Babelsberg, post production studios and sound design studios of film schools located in Berlin. They also attended the workshops in acting technique, scriptwriting, lectures about organization of meetings with potential co-producers and sources of funding fiction, animation and documentary films.

In addition to professional training the participants could watch the program of the Berlinale, which was particularly innovative this year. Speaking of innovation, a number of workshops focused on multimedia projects. And reputable European companies investing in the film industry actively cooperate with the media projects.

 

If was Invited once to the project "Berlinale Talents", in the future you will be asked to send your films and participate in numerous workshops again as a graduate.
