The VIII International Film Festival of Student Works by Sound Engineers INtonations will start at SPUFT on May 16

11 May 2022

This year the annual festival-competition will take place from May 16 to May 20. The competition list includes 50 short films from 17 countries. Within the festival will be held screenings of student works, meetings and master classes from famous sound engineers to name a few.

INtonations is one of the few student film festivals where people come not to watch films, but to listen. The geography of the competition is expanding every year. More than 170 works from 49 countries were sent to participate in the 8th festival, including: Serbia, France, Italy, Hungary, USA, Turkey, India, Nepal and others.

Every year, the festival organizers invite experienced specialists who not only evaluate the works of students that specialize in sound engineering, but also willingly share their knowledge in the framework of creative meetings and master classes. The chairman of the jury this year will be a sound engineer, member of the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, two-time winner of the Nika Award, winner of the Golden Eagle Award, graduate of our university Sergey Chuprov.

Traditionally there are four categories in the competition: best sound design in a feature film, best sound design in a non-feature film, best sound design in an animated film, debut.
