St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television is in the top universities in 2020

Based on the results of the monitoring of the activity of institutions of higher education in 2020, the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television is recognized as the best creative university of St. Petersburg, as well as one of the best universities supervised by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

In 2020, the university assessment system has changed. Before that, specific threshold values of indicators were set, now the indicators of universities are being assessed by median values in three categories: by the country, by the region in which the university is located, and by its ministry affiliation. The threshold values are the median values of the indicators in the corresponding category.

The results of the monitoring of performance indicators of 58 St. Petersburg institutions of higher education showed that the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television occupied the second place and is among the top three universities of St. Petersburg. All six of its key indicators exceed the median values for the region. Among the six St. Petersburg universities of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television took the first place among creative universities. Moreover, among 45 Russian universities supervised by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television took the second place.

The high quality of the university's work was also noted in 2019, when the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television topped the rating of creative universities of Russia based on the results of monitoring, which was carried out among 87 universities and branches, including 47 universities of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation. The monitoring was based on five key indicators: educational activities, research activities, international activities, financial and economic activities and an additional indicator.
