Students of SPUFT presented their short films at the Festival Koroche

19 August 2022

This year, which marks the tenth anniversary of Koroche, the student program Laboratory Koroche began its work within the framework of the festival. Students of the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television took part and became winners in the nominations "Best Director" and "Best Idea".

Students and graduates came to Kaliningrad, where they filmed their short films as part of the film laboratory. The program involved 18 projects. At the award ceremony, the project "Thursday. Fish Day", shot by Vladislav Emelin and Milena Ogonovskaya (V. Vasiliev and V. Zakharova's class), won the nomination "Best Director". Vyacheslav Belomestnykh (A. Antonov's class) and Ekaterina Ermakova won in the nomination "Best Idea" with their film "Stuffiness". Later the students shared their impressions:

"We encountered unusual circumstances for creating a minute-long film. The task was to concisely and creatively tell a clear story in 60 seconds. We were glad to work in such an interesting format, and we also want to thank the jury members for appreciating our idea!"

Congratulations to the students on their victory and wish them further success in filmmaking!
