The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India thanked the representatives of SPUFT for participating in the conference "Philology in the Modern World: a view from Russia and India". As part of the event, a special screening of short films by students of SPUFT and MGIK was held at Jawaharlal Nehru University (India)

"The works of students of your university became a worthy addition to the cultural program of the conference, contributed to the growth of interest in Russian cinematographic art among Indian students and teachers of Russian studies, and also provided them with the opportunity to put into practice their knowledge of the Russian language," says a letter to Rector of SPUFT, signed by the first secretary of the diplomatic staff of the Russian Embassy in India, Yulia Aryaeva.

The program of SPUFT films shown during the conference "Philology in the Modern World: a View from Russia and India" included the works "Bicycle Parade" (directed by Anastasia Korabelnikova, Directing Non-Fiction Film and TV Film, 5th year), "Green Hedgehogs" (directed by Elmira Asadova, Directing Animation and Computer Graphics, 5th year), "My Place" (director Polina Danilova, Directing Animation and Computer Graphics, graduate of 2022).

The conference "Philology in the Modern World: a View from Russia and India" is held every five years. The theme of the conference, in which participated students of SPUFT, is the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries. A rich cultural and scientific program of events took place over three days. Nine Russian and ten Indian universities took part in the conference.
