St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television and Embassy of France Signed an Agreement

In July 2020, the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television and the Embassy of France signed an agreement.

The French-Russian Committee of Cultural Cooperation had taken into consideration a long history of cooperation between the University and various French educational institutions, significant contribution of our students and professors to this longstanding cooperation, and made a positive decision to extend cultural contacts with the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television.

The Institut français in Russia will inform about the activities, competitions and internships, which the students and professors of the University may participate in.

The St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television continues to organise cultural activities to share experience between the professionals of the University and their French colleagues, and to promote studying of French language through the educational programmes ‘the Foreign Language’, ‘the Second Foreign Language’ of the Department of Foreign Languages and through other activities.

The Institut français in Russia was founded on January 1, 2012 to unite the activities on cooperation in the following areas:
• Culture,

Education,
• 
French language.
The Institut français in Russia is directly associated with the Embassy of France in the Russian Federation, the Embassy participating in forming the budget of the organisation. The organisation is independent in terms of management but it is not an independent legal body. The Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of France runs the Institut français in Russia with the support of French and Russian professionals in culture and education.
